Falling and Crawling
Nina has started class again, which means three nights a week I'm alone in the house for a few hours. I've decided today to get the Terminal Velocity achievement in Portal. The in-game achievement list says "fall 30,000 feet" but I have no concept of how far that is. So I've been falling for about ten minutes now, the Xbox has actually activated its screensaver, and I'm playing some Nethack. Kicking some ass in Nethack is maybe more accurate, but who knows it could all fall apart ten seconds from now.
Oh, and one of my pet large cats just ate a Chameleon corpse and turned into a hobbit. Well for now it's a hobbit; I kind of hope it keeps changing, just for entertainment. Imagine the look on some random enemies face when my pet snail turns into a fire giant or something. If it stays a hobbit I'll just name it Sam I guess.
More on portal later, since it deserves it's own post. For the time being it will suffice to say that the game is awesome. Now back to my games.
