Time to learn something new.
I've decided that I really want to learn one of those programs where you can make your own CG animations (think ghetto Shrek or Toy Story). I realize I'm pretty bad at art but it just looks so cool that even if all I ever got was like a spinning glowy cube I'd be pretty stoked. So somebody bug me about that in like a month in case I get lazy and don't do anything with it. Also, suggestions for a good Linux app would be welcome. :)

You shouldn't have missed the last LUG meeting then, as the
Blender Movie was presented. :) Blender is what you'll want to use to do it all.
I know 3D Studio Max is a really powerful program on the Windows side. I would imagine anything on Linux that compares itself to that is worth a look.
